Church Covenant

We do now, in the presence of Almighty God and the faith of the Gospel and by the present help of Divine Grace, unitedly give ourselves to God Almighty, Father, Son and Holy Ghost. To be for Him and no other, freely submitting ourselves to Him to be at His disposal that He may be glorified by us and through us. We agree to take the Bible as our only rule of faith and practice, regarding the Old Testerment as containing the ordinances of the Old Dispensation and the New Testament as containing the ordinances of the New Dispensation. We agree to contend earnestly both by precept and example for the whole of that faith which Christ has once for all delivered to His Saints. That we will strive together for the support of a faithful evangelical ministry among us and through life amid evil report and good report seek to live to the Glory of Him which has called us out of darkness into the marvelous light, having given ourselves unto Him, we freely and joyfully give ourselves unto one another by the will of God and bearing each other's burdens, participating in each other's joys, that we will not forsake the assembling of ourselves together, nor neglect the great duty of prayer for ourselves and others. That we will endeavor to bring up such, as may at any time be under our care in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. We engage to watch over each other in love and to hold communion togeher in all ordinances of the Gospel. Submitting ourselves to the discipline which Christ requires in His church. Searching His word and praying for His Spirit that we may increase in knowledge and enjoy a clear manifestation of the ministry of Godliness and of the Glory of His kingdom, continually looking and waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ to whom be glory forever. Amen
Articles of Faith
1. We believe in one true and living God, Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, and these three are One. John 1:1, I John 5:7 2. We believe that the the Old and New Testament are the Word of God, and the only rule of Faith and Practice. II Peter 1:2, II Timothy 3:16 3. We believe in the doctrine of Election by Grace. Ephesians 1:4 I Peter 1:2 4: We believe in the doctrine of Original Sin, and man's impotency to recover himself from the fallen state he is in by nature, of his own free will and ability. Romans 5:12, John 6:44 5. We believe that sinners are called, converted, regenerated and sanctified by the Holy Spirit, and that all who are thus regenerated and born again by the spirit of God, shall never finally fall away. II Timothy 1:9, John 6:63, John 10:28, I John 3:9 6. We believe that sinners are justified in the sight of God, only by the imputed righteousness of Jesus Christ. Romans 10:4, I Corinithians 1:30 7. We believe that Baptism the Lord's Supper Feet Washing are ordinances of Jesus Christ, and that true believers are the only subjects of these. ordinances, and we believe the only mode of Baptism is by immersion. Mark 1:9, Romans 6:3, Matthew 26:26,27, John 13:8 8. We believe in the Resurrection of the dead and in a general judgment and that the joys of the righteous and the punishment of the wicked will be eternal. John 5:28,29, Matthew 25:46 9. We believe that no minister has a right to administer the ordinance of the Gospel, except such as are regularly called, and come under the hand of the presbytery. Mark 3:14, I Timothy 4:14

New Bethel Baptist Curch History
Established, to the best of our knowledge in the early 1930's New Bethel Baptist Church sat down the road from its present location around 3/4 of a mile, at the mouth of the Little Windfall road, down in the bottom before the new road was built, in the late 50's to early 60's, at that time in October of 1961 the Church was moved to its present location in originality. It is still a Light House to the community and a refuge of hope for the wayfaring pilgram passing by. Thru the years there has been an aray of qualified Preachers who faithfully Pastered and led the litte church to present day. In 2020 the church was blessed to make inprovements to the building, adding indoor bathroom facilities and refacing the exterior fitting the building for many years of use if it be the Lords will to retain a presence there. The little church has had it up's and down's thru the years, but by Gods Grace is still standing today, giving the testimony of hope in Christ Jesus, our Crucified, Arisen and Ascended Savior, who is soon coming back to gather his elect to our glorieous, Eternal Heavenly Home.
